Elders' Update - 2018 Fall Transitions

Dear Friends,

We continue to praise God for His faithfulness and provision for Community Church.  He has provided an amazing staff and volunteers to serve all of us who call Community Church our home.  As the Leadership Team has worked through the latest season of transition we have been looking at how we serve our community on Sunday mornings and what we might be able to add to better provide ways for the congregation to be “equipped” and to “exalt” our Lord and Savior…

The Installation of Jake Brooks as our  Associate Pastor of Discipleship

This past Sunday, June 24, we had the chance to install Jake Brooks as our new Associate Pastor of Discipleship.  It has been a number of years that we have spent seeking to fill this role, and the Lord is faithful!  Jake, together with his wife Leah and his daughters Ella and Amelia, now step into this new role here in our church family!  We had a chance to commission Jake on Sunday, and to lay hands on and pray over the entire Brooks family as we formally welcomed them as a church.  We are so excited for this next season of what God is doing at Community Church!  Please take the opportunity to welcome them when you have the chance.

Support VBS 2018!

The VBS team is still looking to collect several different items for props and supplies before our adventures kick off on July 9th. To see the list of items we are looking to have donated for VBS click here, and thanks for helping make this year's VBS week great!

We will also meet at the church at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 8, to transform the building for the VBS week.  We'd love help from any adults who are available to make this transformation happen as we decorate and setup (but please no children that afternoon - we want it to be a surprise for them!)

But more importantly, they will discover the rich treasure of God’s love through the life of Jesus.
