February 1, 2026 - 2026 Annual Celebration

This past year we have been inviting the congregation to “Listen to the Lord and Do what He says.” We’ve introduced the cards in the back of the pews to keep this idea in front of us each Sunday.

BUT for some of us, this is new language and a new understanding of what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Perhaps we are asking questions like, “How do I listen to the Lord” and,“What does it look like to do what He says”. During the Annual Celebration last week, we got the chance to hear some stories of people who have been listening to the Lord and doing what He says in the following ways…

  • Abby Ytzen-Handel heard from the Lord during a Sunday morning sermon. That sermon was followed up by similar themes in what she was listening to and conversations she was having. She then received an invitation to participate in community and saw the tremendous blessing in saying yes!

  • Nathan Wolters has been pondering a call into formal ministry. He had conversations and prayer with fellow believers and his wife and family, who confirmed the gifting and call. He approached his pastor for further conversation and affirmation, which lead to applying to seminary.

  • Bill Baumer took a theological truth “every person you meet is made in the image of God” and began applying it to his everyday life and saw God move in amazing ways.

  • Brett and Nanine Williams, and MacKenzie Burke leaned into serving the Lord in children’ ministry and saw God move in strengthening their relationship with Him and with others in the church including our children.

  • Andrew Nicastro has seen God’s faithfulness as he looked back over his life in seasons of tilling, seeding and fruitfulness.

If you missed the stories, we invite you to listen to them HERE for the first time or to listen to them again. Then we invite you to begin leaning into one or more of the ways that the Lord speaks to us, and to step out in obedience.

And remember, church is not just an event on Sunday mornings--it's God's people, his family, living for His glory in all we do! Keep reading below to find out more about additional opportunities in the life of the church and how you can get involved or connect with others as we seek to grow closer to Jesus together in this new year.

GIVING

Giving is an act of worship that acknowledges that God is the giver of all we have, and that we are stewards of His resources. We offer our tithes as a concrete act of entrusting all of our lives to Jesus. There are three ways you can give:

IN
PERSON

If you’re joining us in person on a Sunday morning, you can give your gift in the plates up front when it’s time to bring them forward during the worship service.

ONLINE

You can use our online giving platform by clicking the button below to make a one-time gift or to set up a recurring gift. There is a small fee for making an online transaction.

YOUR
BANK

You can contact your bank and set up an automatic bill pay, which is free in most cases. Many use this option for their regular monthly tithe.

Regardless of you how give, we see giving as one way we can reflect the heart and character of our God, who “so loved the world that He gave…” everything for us (John 3:16).

PRAYER

Submit a Prayer Request: Share with one another the needs, challenges, and joys that you, your family, your neighbors, and your workplaces are going through during this time. Prayer requests can be shared with the prayer team and leadership team.

Spend Some Time in Prayer: This morning, we invite you to pray for the needs you’re aware of in our community and beyond, and we also invite you pray over what was shared or discovered as you participate in worship with us.
