GIVING
Giving is an act of worship that acknowledges that God is the giver of all we have, and that we are stewards of His resources. We offer our tithes as a concrete act of entrusting all of our lives to Jesus. There are three ways you can give:
IN
PERSON
If you’re joining us in person on a Sunday morning, you can give your gift in the plates at the back of the sanctuary just inside the Chapel Street doors.
ONLINE
You can use our online giving platform by clicking the button below to make a one-time gift or to set up a recurring gift. There is a small fee for making an online transaction.
YOUR
BANK
You can contact your bank and set up an automatic bill pay, which is free in most cases. Many use this option for their regular monthly tithe.
Regardless of you how give, we see giving as one way we can reflect the heart and character of our God, who “so loved the world that He gave…” everything for us (John 3:16).
LENTEN GIVING
Each year during the season of Lent, we encourage our church family to “lay down” something good in order to “take up” something even better. Perhaps it’s giving up Dunkin’ or Starbucks; maybe it’s giving up TikTok or some other social media (or social media altogether). Maybe it’s unsubscribing from Netflix or Disney+. The point is to use the time you would normally spend on these things to focus on what Christ has done for us. Half-an-hour of Facebook scrolling gets replaced with half-an-hour of reading Scripture and praying.
And where your “laying down” involves freeing up money, we encourage you to give that money back to the Lord by giving towards our Lenten Giving project. Each year, we select one of our Global Outreach partners to receive this giving as a special gift to bless them and their ministry. You can use the link below to give to this special fund.
PRAYER
Submit a Prayer Request: Share with one another the needs, challenges, and joys that you, your family, your neighbors, and your workplaces are going through during this time. Prayer requests can be shared with either our whole church, or just the prayer leadership teams.
Spend Some Time in Prayer: We have collected some prayer requests that have been submitted to us and we have posted them on our community prayer wall. This morning, we invite you to pray for those needs posted there, and we also invite you pray over what was shared or discovered in the Going Deeper questions above.
Share a Photo or Video: Here you have an opportunity to post a video, photo, or selfie from different groups and families to share with one another. Take a selfie with Worship Online in the background! Hold up signs! Express your gratitude and celebrate being a part of Community Church!
