SUMMER MIXTAPE - SIDE A
God’s Character in The Psalms
Our preaching series this summer will be exploring God’s character as revealed into the treasure trove “worship mixtape” that is the book of Psalms. The series will have two sections: "side A" and "side B" (see what we did there). Side A will focus on God's incommunicable characteristics; those characteristics that make Him Wholly Other with no comparison or equal; the characteristics that we cannot in any way share in. That's his omnipresence, sovereignty, mighty power, transcendence eternal nature and the like. Side B (the latter half of the summer) will focus on his communicable characteristics that He invites us to share in and change us; He is love, He is gracious, He is forgiving, He is wrathful, He is kind.
All in all, it is our hope and prayer that our souls will be filled with awestruck wonder and worship as we fix our gaze on the glory and beauty of our God is, and that as a result we would live our lives wholeheartedly for Him.
GIVING
Giving is an act of worship that acknowledges that God is the giver of all we have, and that we are stewards of His resources. We offer our tithes as a concrete act of entrusting all of our lives to Jesus. There are three ways you can give:
IN
PERSON
If you’re joining us in person on a Sunday morning, you can give your gift in the plates at the back of the sanctuary just inside the Chapel Street doors.
ONLINE
You can use our online giving platform by clicking the button below to make a one-time gift or to set up a recurring gift. There is a small fee for making an online transaction.
YOUR
BANK
You can contact your bank and set up an automatic bill pay, which is free in most cases. Many use this option for their regular monthly tithe.
Regardless of you how give, we see giving as one way we can reflect the heart and character of our God, who “so loved the world that He gave…” everything for us (John 3:16).
PRAYER
Submit a Prayer Request: Share with one another the needs, challenges, and joys that you, your family, your neighbors, and your workplaces are going through during this time. Prayer requests can be shared with either our whole church, or just the prayer leadership teams.
Spend Some Time in Prayer: We have collected some prayer requests that have been submitted to us and we have posted them on our community prayer wall. This morning, we invite you to pray for those needs posted there, and we also invite you pray over what was shared or discovered in the Going Deeper questions above.
Share a Photo or Video: Here you have an opportunity to post a video, photo, or selfie from different groups and families to share with one another. Take a selfie with Worship Online in the background! Hold up signs! Express your gratitude and celebrate being a part of Community Church!
