Rachel's Open Door Mixed Berry Crumble

INGREDIENTS


Berry Filling

  • 4 cups (24 oz) frozen mixed berries

  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar

  • 3 tbsp all purpose flour

  • zest from 1 lemon

  • pinch of salt

Oat Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 6 tbsp all purpose flour

  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) salted butter, cold, cut into small cubes

INSTRUCTIONS


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Make the berry filling by combining all ingredients and tossing to combine. Set aside.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix the oat crumble topping. Set aside.

  4. Pour the berry filling into a baking dish, then top with the oat crumble topping.

  5. Bake uncovered until the berry filling is bubbling, and the oat crumble is golden brown, about 1 hour.

  6. Let cool for 1 hour before serving.

NOTE:

Serve with vanilla ice cream!
