Kayle's South African Broccoli Salad

INGREDIENTS


SALAD

  • 2 large heads of broccoli (enough to fill a large serving bowl)

  • 1 cup raisins

  • 1 large red onion, chopped

DRESSING

  • 1 cup mayo

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

TOPPINGS

  • 1 packet streaky bacon (cooked and chopped)

  • 1 cup pecans (roasted and chopped)

INSTRUCTIONS


  1. Chop broccoli and place in large serving bowl. Add raisins and chopped red onion.

  2. Mix together dressing ingredients and add to broccoli bowl. Adjust dressing according to taste.

  3. Add bacon and pecans to broccoli salad right before serving (or else they get soggy).
